Setting Cancellation Policy

Modified on Mon, 11 Sep, 2023 at 9:55 AM

How do I establish my cancellation policy?

In the 'Manage Treater Info' under your Profile, you can write your cancellation policy, determine the cancellation fee, and specify the time frame for which the fee applies. Once done, click on 'Save' to implement your policy.

Can I modify my cancellation policy after setting it?

Yes, navigate to the 'Manage Treater Info' under your Profile, scroll down to ‘Cancellation Policy’, make necessary amendments, and remember to click 'Save' to update your changes. To modify your cancellation fee and period, scroll down to ‘Cancellation Policy’, swipe left on the current cancellation charges description, and click on the x to delete it. Now make necessary amendments by choosing a new fee and window period.

How will clients be informed about my cancellation policy?

Clients will see your cancellation policy when booking an appointment with you on your public profile. Always ensure your policy is clear and concise so clients are well-informed.

What should be included in a comprehensive cancellation policy?

A comprehensive cancellation policy should detail the notice period required for cancellations and any fees incurred for cancellations made after this period.

Is there a standard cancellation fee I should set?

The fee can vary based on your preferences, the services you offer, and market standards. It's advisable to review what's customary in your field and region, and consider the convenience and costs associated with potential appointment changes.

What happens if a client cancels an appointment but disputes the cancellation fee?

You should communicate directly with the client to understand their concerns and if the dispute continues, please refer to Sanzu's support at support@sanzu.ch.

How can I ensure clients are aware of my cancellation policy before booking?

To ensure clients are aware of your cancellation policy, articulate a straightforward cancellation policy on your Sanzu profile. Clearly specify the fee, time window (in hours or days), and any other pertinent details. Mentioning your policy in both your bio and appointment reminders can further emphasise its importance.

Can I set different cancellation policies for in-person and telehealth appointments?

Sanzu currently doesn't support different cancellation policies for in-person and telehealth appointments. We believe in maintaining simplicity for clients. Regardless of the consultation mode, the implications of last-minute cancellations remain the same.

Do I have to set a cancellation policy?

While not mandatory, it's advisable to set a cancellation policy. This sets clear expectations and potentially deters last-minute cancellations, ensuring smoother operations.

What happens if I don't set a cancellation fee?

If you don't set a cancellation fee, clients might be able to cancel without any financial consequences. This could lead to frequent last-minute cancellations, potentially affecting your schedule and income.
